I've seen no mention of it. There are laws, (or will be bills passed), to prevent looting or unauthorized salvage. As far as I know, the site is/will be protected.

Small portions of the ship's hull has been raised, along with artifacts...personal items and such. There are traveling Titanic exhibits...some are more elaborate and have more items on display than others. There was an exhibit that came through Tucson; however, it was tiny compared to some that I've seen advertised online. One day, I'd like to take a quick weekend trip to Las Vegas, I believe they have a larger exhibit there. It might be a permanent exhibit, not sure.

Dirk Pitt makes James Bond look like Pee Wee Herman.

I went to the Titanic exhibit that toured a few years ago and thought it was pretty tacky to show a bunch of private possessions of the deceased as though they were ancient history. Was pretty cool to be able to touch a piece of the ship though.
just a foil for me today, thanks

It's not so much tacky that causes some issues for me. I'm okay with the existing exhibits as long as the leave the remaining artifacts where they are. I'd like to go to one more exhibit. I like solo weekend trips to large cities where I can visit different exhibits, museums and such. I miss that since moving to pokey town Tucson...not much to do here.

My biggest regret was cancelling plans to see the King Tut exhibit at LACMA years ago. One of these days, I'll make it to one of those.

^This.

I love that Dirk has a collection of vintage cars in the books. (So does Cussler in RL. At least he did at the time I was into his novels.)

this is my TOTAL guess. no basis in any sort of fact. But I think that they will be selling these posters at the show in some fashion when it opens. but this is just a hypothesis

Hope so... I'm travelling the States in Autumn and have tickets to the show on October 13th.

I'm also hoping to hit up a solo show happening in Austin the following month...

The largest piece of the Titanic ever salvaged weighs 15 tons, it's called "The Big Piece" and it took forever to get out and was nearly impossible due to the depth of the wreckage. The history on the piece is really interesting.
