The Misfits are a punk rock revelation and a band that have mesmerized me from my first introduction to them in 1985. The Misfits art is pure alchemy genius and the best example of remixing marginal subculture imagery into a cohesive cult brand in history. I remember making my first homemade stencil of the Misfits fiend skull back in the mid ‘80s and how proud I was of how it looked sprayed on a t-shirt. It was fun to revisit stenciling the Misfits imagery and is a reminder that my entire career is built on do-it-yourself empowerment! – Shepard

Wednesday April 18th marks the anniversary of when the Misfits played their first show at CBGB’s in New York City over forty years ago. To commemorate this, we’re releasing the OBEY X Misfits Limited Edition Leather Jacket: a slim fit motorcycle jacket with contrast interior, featuring Misfits collaborative artwork hand stenciled and signed by Shepard Fairey. Available on OBEY Clothing sites and at select retailers worldwide Weds, April 18th at 10 AM PST.

That price is so punk rock! So much irony going on with this jacket. If the 1980's version of whoever buys one of these knew that they were buying one of these today, they'd kick the modern days versions ass.

$1500 doesn't seem that outta line considering it says it's hand stenciled by Shep.

When I'm done ranting about elite power that rules the planet under a totalitarian government that uses the media to keep people stupid, my throat gets parched. That's why I drink Orange Drink. - BH

I think $1,500 is pretty/crazy high for what it is, Shep or not.
