My Lotus Ornament letterpress showed up today... really wish they'd stick to the same paper color for these releases... it would've looked just as good on the tan stock they've used for 95% of the letterpresses.

I actually was really struck by mine in person and love the starkness of the white contrasted with that blue. I think it's my favorite lp, may actually hang on to this one and frame it.

Agreed on the look. It resembles antique Chinese porcelain with the blue and white color scheme.earlgreytoast wrote:I actually was really struck by mine in person and love the starkness of the white contrasted with that blue. Also almost all the LP have been printed on diff colored stock. Not exactly a new development.

Mm ok. I have all of the releases so far, but sure... whatever you say.
Never said it looks bad.

Have you actually put them side by side? Each seems to be slightly different. Some have a lighter shade paper and some have more red in the paper, some are whiter. I know it's prob a white balance issue as the differences aren't as drastic on the site but it looks to me like diff shades of paper to my eyes in person.cmatthews11 wrote:Mm ok. (horrible photo, I know)
Yes, aside from Peace Dove, Black Planet and now Lotus Ornament the others are very close (Earth Crisis and Cleon collab are probably in the middle, but still very much tan/beige). I won't argue there are subtle differences, but they aren't that noticeable in person unlike the white stock. The only other issue so far is with Bad Brains being cut too small and I likely won't frame it.
Considering I love the set and have been getting them custom framed, it's just a pet peeve of mine is all.
