This is kind of reclaimed, kind of not. This was made using the old concrete boards that were left at our house when it was built. Still have no idea why I kept them for so long, but I'm glad I did. This is from the first batch of made from scratch frames that I did (the ones that I learned a ton from).

These were a real pain in the ass to work with, there was so much warpage, I didn't take that into account until I was neck deep in the process. I wanted to make a frame for this odd print (which I do believe is called "The Seeker") that I got for $5 several months back. I wanted the frame to look beat to hell and even clear coated it so it would keep the concrete residue on. Not the prettiest, and I do realize that it looks like its not floating on the black straight, but it is, it's just an odd angle.

xjmjx....your choice of framing materials for reclaimed frames is fantastic. Perfect choice on the concrete boards!

Found a cheap frame (12$) at a resale shop. Did some work on it (sanded,painted, sanded some more) and thought it looked good for one of favorite Landland prints. The color matches a bit better in person than in the pic.

Picked up a junky gold frame at a thrift store for $3 a year or two ago. Been sitting around collecting dust. Finally got inspired today to try and do something with it. Hobby Lobby FINALLY started carrying in stock acid free mattes so paid them a visit. All done in just a few hours and all for $25.

I know it isn't the most celebrated print but this is my favorite self frame up I've done for several reasons. I love the print. I finally found a flat black paint that gives me the look I've been after with my other frames. It cost $25. I'm also stoked I won't have to invest in matte cutting equipment since Hobby Lobby changed their in store mattes to acid free. I could never understand why they carried non acid free.

Thanks! Will be hitting the thrift stores tomorrow. I have a couple of small OGs fro Mondo-Con that I want to try and float mount. Need to scrounge up some frames.
