Ornate frames are usually not my thing but in this case this frame up works really well. I still need to get mine framed and on the wall..

Cheers chaps! Yup, been up on CHG for years, shoot 'em an email, pretty sure they've still got copies too. Thanks for that halftone, glad you dig as well man & yeah, still can't quite understand it, they really are a pair of beauties... My two absolute favourite pieces she's done, just not everyone's cuppa joe, which ain't no bad thing either!

This was my first time doing a fillet. Thanks to peacedog for answering some questions :notworthy: . The whole thing was a pain in the ass since none of the places I ordered supplies could follow directions and/or measure. There was definitely more involved in adding that little piece than I thought, in both cost and effort, but I learned some new tricks. I've also never used the suede, and damn, it's hard to get the dust off. Like usual, Hobby Lobby also managed to top it off today by selling me a piece of glass with a problem (some nicks in the UV coating) . Normally I'd take it back, but I'm not sure I can deal this time. I know I already have a reputation, so you think they'd be super cautious by now :? . Through everything, I'm really happy with the finished look. I think the gold bead really complements the gold spots around the eyes. 8)

Hey folks, after some inspiration to frame up my 'Red Caribou' - it was a long time ISO of mine and now I'm moving into a new place I'm finally getting it framed. I'm pretty excited as I think of all the pieces I have this'll be with me forever so nervous about how to frame it, a lot of the choices seem to be black ornate frames but I'm not entirely convinced that's right for Caribou.... curveball is also that I want to frame up Catrina Sueno Azul, should they be done as a pair? They're quite different images tonally...

Help!

(Caribou is actually bigger than Azul)

There is no wrong answer but my inclination would not be frame them as a pair. Caribou is a print that I think would look great in a light color or even white frame. Sueno Azul is a print that I've been thinking about framing with an 8 ply black mat and a black frame.

i double black mat most of my Ji prints with an ornate black frame. $.02.

Red Caribou would look nice in a white frame though.

i would separate them.
