I posted this in the latest acquisitions thread, but I thought I'd share my new treasure here as well. I was lucky enough to get #1/325 of Struzan's Frankenstein, so I went all out on the framing. I wanted a double matte to thematically tie in with the print and I also wanted an ornate frame that feels like something from that wonderful laboratory set in the film.

Great job. It's nice to see these being framed and enjoyed so fast.

Really nice how you thought through the framing, and the end result is very impressive. Congrats on owning #1 of this beautiful monster!TimeBandit wrote:I posted this in the latest acquisitions thread, but I thought I'd share my new treasure here as well. "Good one of Wally."
See, now I kind of wish it had been discontinued so I wouldn't be tempted to go ask for a new frame at my framer.peacedog wrote:Nurre Caxton's Chantilly collection, that profile is #61541. Not discountinued by Nurre, plenty of stock on hand.celloman85 wrote:I wish I had more specific information for you but the only thing I can tell you is that piece was done at Aaron Brothers in Round Rock, TX. He told me when I was framing my JP there a few weeks later that I was the only one who ever picked that frame so they got rid of it. Pity really. If it's any consolation, I really like the way your Pan's came back from the framers as well!emac wrote:Celloman, give us the info anyway, if you don't mind. Happa, there may be places that still have some of that moulding in stock that they already ordered from the manufacturer, or you can check the online places that buy remainders of discontinued moulding and sell them at a discounted price. Don't give up until you've looked!HappaHaoli wrote:NOOOOOOOO... and here I was about to ask for the info on that as I still have my Pan print sleeved waiting for framing.
Thanks PD!
I think the bottom frame in the pic would look good on the Emek/Horkey Decemberists. hmmm

Thanks, guys! I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Really like the Frankenstein, too.
And thanks for the framing samples Peacedog. Gotta keep those in mind and find out if they can be had in Germany.
