if I posted how my Panic Milwaukee was framed, WAY too much fudge would be talked... my buddy picked it up at a show, it isn't completely mint, so I stuck it in a chepo frame and put it on my wall immediately...
Dylan will be properly framed... gotta do the dragons also, ASAP! when i finally get myrtle beach, i'll frame the 3 for sure, properly

simple, narrow mat, really more of a spacer to get a 23x35 print into a 24x36 frame...love this poster!
Cheapo frame or not it's all good, show it, if you want to.pjtaper wrote:if I posted how my Panic Milwaukee was framed, WAY too much fudge would be talked... my buddy picked it up at a show, it isn't completely mint, so I stuck it in a chepo frame and put it on my wall immediately...

Hey Dirkstainly, I love your poor man's approach of using a thin mat to serve both as a spacer to keep the print off the glass and to fill out the dimensions to a standard size frame. On this one, I just floated the poster on the black paper that came in the standard sized frame, taping it very lightly on the back with masking tape. The image touches the glass, however, so I never keep a poster/print in this type of schlok framing too long; I swap out pics every month or so from my flat files. Of course, I pay big bucks to frame things properly when it's an image I know I'll want occupying my precious wall space for a long time. I have several of these, but none are Sperrys (yet) sorry to say.
I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.

That looks pretty good floated.
If you want to invest in a piece of UV acrylic, you can let the print touch the glazing as my friendly neighborhood framer lady tells me that the acrylic will "breathe". Not exactly sure what that means, but she assures me that it's safe enough and much safer than glass. Standard disclaimer here: Your mileage may vary.
