cro, did you frame this yourself ('took about three hours')?cro225 wrote:finished framing "Thunder" over the weekend. 1 1/2 inch deep shadow box. top 2 mats are separated by 1/4 inch spacer then there is another 1/2 inch spacer between bottom mat and the backing board. Print is mounted w/ paper hinges and finished off w/ museum glass. took about 3 hours to finish but very happy with the way it turned out.
i don't know if it is the indirect light hitting it but it looks extremely nice. you can see the depth, and the separation of the mats... really nice.
if you did it yourself, where did you buy supplies?

yes, I framed "Thunder" and all my other prints. Thanks, took a while to do the mat separations but in the end it was well worth the time.churdiales wrote:cro, did you frame this yourself ('took about three hours')?cro225 wrote:finished framing "Thunder" over the weekend. 1 1/2 inch deep shadow box. top 2 mats are separated by 1/4 inch spacer then there is another 1/2 inch spacer between bottom mat and the backing board. I have a framing business here is Wisconsin, been open for 4 years. I get my supplies delivered form several different vendors, they all require a federal tax id # to purchase.

I received my 'last kiss' print yesterday and it is a thing of beauty - the quality is fantastic. My first Keyes!
Hoping to leave it into the framers this weekend.
