temporary shelter from the flatfile. i'll do it proper very soon.
My other Audrey. Cheap 24x20 dark brown frame from Michaels. I scraped the paint off with a razor (took me an effin hour) to give it a nice distressed look. Black mat (and thinking of changing it to ivory...a bit too dark now).

I think that looks great, although I'd like to see the ivory as well.

art is the only justification for pain
Good job on that mogwai. That actually works pretty well, and is a bit unconventional for how people usually approach framing that piece. It's one I've always regarded as almost unframable because nothing ever seems to look quite right, but that's probably one of the top couple I've seen for that piece.TheThirdEye wrote:Not the greatest pics, but here it is. American Frame, UV non-glare glazing, archival matte and backing, all for about $110. I'm happy with it.

Thanks ill! I didn't want to get too fancy but didn't want to be too plain either. Worked out great in the end. We are in the middle of painting the interior of our house, so it may be a while before I get to hang it.
I really like your creativity.. great results!wizdom wrote:My other Audrey. Cheap 24x20 dark brown frame from Michaels. I scraped the paint off with a razor (took me an effin hour) to give it a nice distressed look. Black mat (and thinking of changing it to ivory...a bit too dark now).

I agree. You should change the mat to ivory. It should really make it pop.

That is awesome! Would be cool enough without the family connection, but that makes it extra special.greasy wrote:here ya go. my great uncle ernie erdman wrote the lyrics to toot-toot-tootise goodbye. original pressing 78 with songbook.
this aggression will not stand, man.
thanks man. all of us on my fathers side of the family (me, my sister, father, and grandfather) each have a similar piece.
