thanks.....usually I try to match the bottom matte with one of the most under-represented colors in the print to try to bring that out. Using one of the colors that is prominent in the print is usually overkill, and to me, it adds very little to the overall aesthetic.

if you do a bottom matte, please repost a picture....I'd love to see it.

Got this last month from King of Prussia, but was just able to frame it. The frame isnt too exciting, but I'm so happy that I finally pulled the trigger on this one...

Usual cheap framing jobs but they work for me, I had to put a tiny matte on the Dog in Socks to fit it into a 24x36 frame but for the money I saved using a pre-built frame it works for my budget.

I like Jay's work more with every passing day. Nice work Kevin, I didn't realize the dog print was so big.

Thanks, I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I initially was going to have the bottom matte be a light blue like the main figure's shirt, but the framer and I couldn't find a correct shade.

IIt's too bad because that could have looked very good as well. The framer then noticed a couple of the characters were purple, so we could try to bring that out. I think it not only does that but it works with the palette of colors throughout the whole piece.

Is that canvas, or is the photo just cropped to tight? Or am I missing something?
