My current frame does not have a mat, so the whole bottom shows. Is it sacrilege to modify a piece like this? Folding preferred over cutting?

Folding or cutting are both death to the print if you ever plan on reselling it. However it is yours and if you are okay with losing the monetary value of it, get those scissors out.

Best bet would be to cover it up with a matte, if you dont wanna damage the print

^this. Bottom-weighted margins are actually a traditional but very old-fashioned way to display art, so it's actually fine the way it is, but if the bottom margin bugs you, just buy an oversize frame (they're not expensive) and center and mat the image so that each mat margin is equal.

Theres someone on this board that had the same question when it first came out. If i recall right, they folded it.

May i suggest doing a double mat. Have both mats cut for the image area but then have a second cutout underneath the image area in the top mat and float a nameplate in there. Making it look like a memoriabilia piece.

Or maybe not a nameplate but maybe put the quote of 'This machine kills fascists' on it.

Lots of good ideas, thanks folks! I think I'm going to get a larger frame and mat it.

From what I've seen they come framed and then there are some that are un framed. But to your
point, a majority of them do come framed.
