No it is a solid wood frame. The outer edge of the wood frame is polished silver making it look like metal.

fudge, hard to do much better than that JB. I was thinking about doing the curved top like that.

All framed up. The black part of the frame has some muddy red highlights in it that match up with rust in the print nicely. Can't be seen in the pics though.
