Well cannot find my thread that I started on framing this print with a frame that I ordered from American Frame that was way too gold. But here is the process that I used to end up with the final product. What a pain in the ass, but at least now I have a proper frame for one of my favorite gig posters.
Frame that I previewed from American Frame:
American Frame here is the frame that showed up obviously way too gold. I took steel wool and stripped off the paint.
I tried spray painting the frame copper, but was not happy with it:
Second Coat of darker metallic paint still not happy with it
I put the print in with a brown matte but it looked awful:
Well I decided to spray paint the frame black and then start blending in some copper metallic paint with it. I just kept layering it until I was pretty happy with the result. It is not perfect but I think it turned out quite nice after painting it again and changing the top matte to black

Thanks erba, I appreciate the advice you gave me. I am just happy to have in it a proper frame since it is one of my favorite Rob Jones prints.erba wrote:That came out real nice Kevin.
I really like what you did with that one, Kevin!kevron62007 wrote:Well cannot find my thread that I started on framing this print with a frame that I ordered from American Frame that was way too gold. Jeff Wood / Dave Crosland, Janes Addiction A/P - Black wood frame, UV glass, double acid-free mats and no tape. I love Jeff Woods work but I dont really care for Janes Addiction (love the poster) so this one is going to be a gift for a friend.
