Hello, just wanted to share my DIY lightbox. I live in Europe and light boxes are basically not a thing here especially at the usual 24"x36" size, so I went down the rabbit hole and built my own.

It's basically just a box frame with a rabbet, the twist is to put the rabbet behind the artwork instead on in front. Subject is on the glazing and the rabbet creates space with the backing board on which the LEDs are stuck
Went with anti reflective glazing, something you can't do on most commercially available light boxes

Used a Zigbee LED controller to dim it with my Philips Hue app.
It would also have been possible to hide the power supply inside and not have to deal with the bulky external PSU, will probably do the upgrade later down the line

The only downsides are that it's a bit thicker than the usual products and a tad more complicated to swap the artwork. Also requires about an hour of work.
However there are sooo many upsides (no light leaks, actually looks great like a regular frame, cheaper than a commercial solution, can be made at any custom size, can get super bright, app controled and no outside clutter...)
If you have any questions regarding DIY light boxes let me know
