I found this crazy clearance area in Hobby Lobby where they sell unclaimed custom frames, just the wood part, and then I added glass, backing, and mats to them. Pretty happy with how the stuff turned out. As usual, I'm super bad at taking photos of frames.

Thanks, I'm really happy with it.

And yes, I was looking on and off for about two years. I think i missed out on three (two for sure) before landing this one. Sometime last year I posted an ISO thread that finally paid off.

Come to think of it I should bump that tread back up with a pic.

Pearl Jam Hartford '08...

I think I should have used white for the top mat instead of black. It comes of bright in the picture, but that's because of the flash. It looks kind of dark in person without light shining on it.

Had to frame this one more for the memory of watching this show from the side of the stage.

I like the black mat, keeps the focus on the image. But if I had to nitpick anything, the inside mat seems to get too close too the "funnels," but maybe they go real close to the print border - in which case, it is what it is.

Mistersmith - Thanks for posting the picture. I couldn't get it to load.

Your right about the inside mat and the funnels. They're pretty much on the edge of the poster. It really is what it is.

Thanks again,

Wow, greasy...that looks like a great frame.

How big is the frame? Looks like 48" tall, but how wide?

Was it a custom deal, or did you find it ready made?
