Framed Stuff Part 10
I am generally not a fan of white frames. But on rare occasions, it is the obvious choice. This looks terrific, Binky. Kudos.binky79 wrote:Couldn't wait to get it in a frame. Looks stunning. One of my new favorites.
Actually damaged the print a bit by making a rookie mistake, drilling bracket screws with the art/foam/glass in the frame. Lost my grip and punched a hole right through the foam and print.
Not too worried about it though, it's never going anywhere.

Agreed. Not a moulding I would ever think to choose, but it works great herecargoflipper wrote:Thats really beautiful! ^^^^
Was lucky enough to get an uncut Daft Punk Portrait set.
Went with their color scheme for the Alive 2007 album cover.
Painted the inside of the mats black using painters tape. Results aren't perfect. But In total it cost me about $5 dollars for mat and $10 for the frame.
One of my fave DIYs.

True Romace I did for a friend.
Literally had it drymounted on the wall with sticky velcro on the back. Gently peeled them off and made the frame and mats.

Dumbass question here: i wanna put a pic up of a newly framed piece, but when i upload it it says it's too big. So i resize it, and that just makes the pic look like ass. How do yall put nice clear pics on here, what's the best way? (I'm not the best with technology, so that explains my lack of knowledge in this department)
If anyone can help me out here with some insight, i'd greatly appreciate it. If you do, PM me so that this thread isn't cluttered with stuff that doesn't include sexy frame pictures. Thanks!

most use a service like imgur to host the image and then just post using the url.
if you are trying to do it as an attachment, best way is to size it to roughly 800x1000 (vice versa if horizontal) and then save as a JPG, decreasing the quality until it is just under 250kb.

That's too bad about the Trespasses... I like the frame though.binky79 wrote:Actually damaged the print a bit by making a rookie mistake, drilling bracket screws with the art/foam/glass in the frame. Lost my grip and punched a hole right through the foam and print.

I chose to frame these two in standard frames as well, but at least they're on the wall!

Crappy pics, and they're pretty huge, but i'm still learnin the ropes over here. Anyways, it's a piece by the one and only Frank Frazetta.
