finally framed up some of these guys. stole the Hobby Lobby Barn Wood frame idea from a few pages back. swapped in tru-vue museum glass & acid free backing.

and spacers I hope…HL gives me the spacers free and cuts them.

Those look terrific…I'm going to be the next thief on that train.

I hope MM puts up whole sets at some point. Some of us got started a little late.

For bird lovers/watchers, the new Sibley Guide to Birds is pretty cool. Worth giving it a look…

haha ive got the new Sibley Guide to Birds. its essential for bird lovers. little tip for the HL frames. they have the wall ones for 25 and the tabletop frames for like 12.49 but if you are going to hang them on the wall you are probably going to swap out the back for acid free anyway so go with the table top frames! and get them for half the price.

More attempts at doing my own framing.

Found the wood on the street.

Cut and painted the mats myself. slightly uneven but getting better because I switch to using CM to measure cause its way easier. I think I'm going to paint the frame matte black.

Basic brown wood frames, acid-free backing board and UV plexi (from FrameDestination).

Also, check out the Clearance section on FrameDestination if you're going to do small frames on a bunch of Mitchells. $15 for a 10-pack of 8x10 UV plexi. ;) Wish I had seen that before I ordered. Few bucks more for UV/non-glare.

I'm just impressed that you got all of those lined up and spaced out so well.

I just bought one of these for level hanging and it makes it sooooo much easier than using a tape measure. Only $6 too..
