swamp coolers and art care

Are there any EB'ers out there that live in a house with stored art/framed art and swamp coolers (i.e. evap coolers) running in the summer? I'm moving into a place with a swamp cooler and I'm wondering whether I can run it instead of AC without causing any damage to framed or stored art...Any advice would be appreciated.
