Removing sharpie from skateboard

Kind of a strange question, but related to care, I guess..

Bought a skateboard online and had the rider sign it. Unfortunately, he personalized it and added 'To Jack' to it. I am wanting to remove that without damaging the screenprint of the board. Any ideas? I tried using rapid remover on another board and it took some of the screenprint off. I hear Goo Gone may work without affecting the screenprint. Or perhaps dry erase marker? The signature is in black Sharpie.

I read that too. It won't hurt the screenprint? Or create a soft/dull spot?

I've been able to remove permanent Sharpie ink by using another Sharpie. You need to test this in an inconspicuous spot before going "Gung-ho." Carefully trace over the writing with another Sharpie. The ink laid down by the new pen will hydrate the old ink, then quickly wipe up the new ink before it sets and drys, about 1.5 seconds. Try a little at a time and let me know how it goes. Good Luck.

Yep I've use that method a few times with varying results. Some got rid of it completely and others just lightened it.
