I'm getting ready to try and frame a couple things, and after I got all excited and got down to work, I realized I had never framed anything without a border. Any tips?

Seriously. I've probably got 1/8 to 1/16 of an inch to play with here. Anyone?

There's been discussion here of floating the print inside the matte with either mylar corners, or linen tape.
They do so much with just the notes that they have. I mean who does that? Who messes with that kind of stuff?

Forgive my ignorance, but what do you mean by "floating"?

Framing prints without a matte is done by "floating" the print using Japanese hinges to affix it to the backing. Spacers are used between the glass and the backing to prevent the print from touching the glass. The print appears to be "floating" below the glass, as no matte (or frame) covers it's edges.
