Signing prints
Or smudges/smears.most ink fades
I like pencil too - then I can erase it when it gets in the way of framing
Seriously though, vast majority of signed pieces I have (at least 95%) are done in pencil. Then there is Kozik with his black niji signed pieces. And Emek's gold and silver paint pens. And that one thing signed by all the PNE guys (Emek, Jermaine, and Justin) in black Sharpie. But mostly pencil

There is no correct method for signing, numbering and titling prints. Various artists do these in their own (and sometimes unique) ways.
Yeah...
Some seem to prefer to sign and number in the same corner, some in opposite ones. And some even that changes from piece to piece (though that seems to rest more on the overall size of the print too).
Titles are an option area I think. Some are, many aren't. Even "art prints".
