have some prints from my undergrad studies that i recently pulled out. unfortunately, looks like over time the gloss varnish on a few are stuck to the glassine/wax paper that was intended to protect them. wondering if the introduction of heat might help.

My immediate though when I read the title was heat too. Very gently with a hairdryer maybe?

Not something I've tried though so....

The only worry would be that it'll leave a matt finish where the glassine comes away but there is little you can do to avoid that I'd think.

Test a portion using "Bestine"... it was made for the art word and while it soaks into paper, it also evaporates extremely quickly and usually does not affect inks.
Again, test first.
