I have a print that has a small amount of Gorilla grip. I heard things like ironing the print on low with wax paper on both sides could fix this. Has anyone tried this or have any suggestions on how to smooth it back out.

I would try flattening the print with some heavier objects, like large coffee table books. I had this happen to me a couple of months ago. The prints looked horrendous when I opened the tube. But I took them out and did my usual flattening routine anyway. About a week later, they looked significantly better.

get hold of a really cheap print, and replicate the damage, and try on that. lots of people myself included have junk mystery tube prints they dont want, which id be more inclined to test out things like that on.
or you could hit up somewhere like postermountain

This doesn't sound correct. I think parchment or silicone paper would be more appropriate. Google Reynolds parchment paper.

I had an artist recommend ironing some damage on a print that was on a heavy cotton stock. You definitely want to use a buffer so the iron does not make direct contact with the paper but I would be worried that wax paper would melt to the print.

Well I forgot about this lol.... anyway I just placed a piece of acid free board on top of the print and then flattened it with a large piece of plywood. I let it sit for like two weeks and then check it. It did make most of the grip marks less noticeable.

How does this happen? Paper too thick?

Combination of that and how tight it was rolled probably. Some people just can't roll a print well either.
