Kraft Paper Q

I found a roll of Kraft Paper at work from Staples.

I'm assuming that since it says nothing about Acid Free that it is not.

Am I correct with this assumption?

Or by some miracle is all Kraft Paper (the brown stuff) acid free?

Thanks

I've always heard that the dark brown is bad stuff...don't know for sure though. My sis came down for thanks giving and brought me a BoSox WS shirt with all the players listed on it. It's silly. Hey, if I sent it to you could you run down there next summer and get 'em all to sign it? Thanks!

If they're all still there, might need to let go of a few to get Santana. I don't know if I'd pay 25M per for his music.

yeah, I know, I'm 8)

Of course kraft paper is not acid free. That's just one of the reasons you don't want to leave your posters in the tube for 10+ years.

+ that when you'll finally get one out of his tube to flatten it, you'll end up with somethin' swirling more than an Emek wave.. and therefore not mint anymore, but off topic, kraft paper is cheap and for sure does not have the acid free archival approval. Don't know to which point, can't be THAT bad since most of the posters are themselves not printed on archival acid free paper, but not for a long term use for shizzle...

yes. cheap.

I also bought similar, but smaller rolls of 3M kraft paper at the Dollar Store. Not sure on quality yet, so.....I'll withhold my review for now.

Maybe I'm too used to dvd collector's networking, where they actually tell you the exact price, therefore eliminating a lot of unnecessary legwork.

In fact, some even note everything that is for sale at particular stores, not using ad flyers, but individually inventorying at the stores.

Nevermind though. You get a rollingeyesmiley here for a simple question. Different culture I suppose. Dvd collecting and Poster flipping.

Carry on.

Dude...it's not that hard to find. It's less than $1.50 per roll. If you need to shop around for the best price on a roll of kraft paper, then maybe you shouldn't be spending so much money on posters.

So is this the same cheap Kraft paper that some poster variants are printed on? And if so, why are people paying crazy amounts of money for them?
