Quick question for the original collectors out there:

I recently bought a couple of pieces on canvas and they don't have any hardware on the back for hanging. Do any of you have recommendations of how to hang canvases without risking devaluing the art? Would running a wire across the back compromise the condition in any way?

Thanks so much for your help with this, EBers!

Oh thanks for that.

I do have one with a crossbar & that's a great idea.

That said, I have another with no crossbar. Any thoughts on whether to run a wire across the back or try something else?

Frame it (no glass needed).

Pretty much this^^. It is way cheaper to frame a canvas than a print of the same size. If it isn't big then find a nice frame on-line and do it yourself. It is incredibly easy.
