This may be the best advice ever given on EB.
I wouldn't deal with JakeStanley / eBay user fratdaddyjake

If I ever move I will have to remove the window (again) to get my flat file out of the living room. So yeah.

You know you can turn them vertical (when empty), right?

Take all the drawers out, and even a 55" FF can be moved pretty much everywhere when transported on it's side.

Yeah, I've done it several times by myself. Helps if you have a dolly.

Go with the 55. If nothing else you have more breathing room on the sides of larger prints. I know you have probably a decent stack of 40ish inch prints and having that room on the sides is always nice. I cant wait to trade back up to a large set once we move again.

What would I do without you?

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the advice (and to my wife for the early xmas gift). You ended up convincing me to go with the 55". Paid $300 for a new 55" metal flat file with base which I'm sure isn't the best deal in the world but seemed pretty reasonable.

Don't be fooled by the few and far between steals that pop up 900 miles away for fifty bucks, you got a great deal.

Considering the value of the prints you'll store in it, that's a reasonable price.

They all cant be steals, and 300 for one with a base is a pretty fair deal. Congrats on the pick up man!
