I know there must be a thread for this, but I'll be damned if I can find it.

Any recommendations for supplies on shipping 5x5 or 7x7 prints flat?

Following most artists standard method: I'm thinking a bag/envelope to place the print in, taping it on the inside of 2 pieces of cardboard, and then placing the whole thing into a standard flat rate USPS mailer.

Solid method? If so, where to get the supplies?

Thanks in advance.

Right but where do you get the sleeves for the print and the cardboard.

I usually re-use, but at this point I have more prints than sleeves/cardboard.

thanks

cray paper works as good as a bag, mostly just to protect from scratch's.

Any 7" record mailer would suffice surely ? ...with a couple of stiffeners either side ...Bobs your uncle.

And if it's bigger than a 7 incher (fnarr fnarr  ) then go for the 12 inch LP sized mailers

You can get 18 x 24 sheets of foam core at michaels for like $2 each, those are perfect for cutting up to the size you need and give a little more protection than just cardboard. I also always write PHOTOS: DO NOT BEND in big letters under the address.

 I knew you'd bring this up.

That sounds like too much work for me. I'd rather just have the sleeves sent to me, and the cardboard sent to me, and without having to cut anything, tape the print into the cardboard, tape the whole thing up and throw it in an envelope.

The entire process of tubing and printing labels is tough enough as is for my lazy ass. Mixing in driving to home depot, talking to a home depot employee, and cutting fudge, I would quit the game altogether.

if you use corrugated cardboard, make sure you alternate the layers or it will fold right in half with no effort t all.
