I'm trying to get rid of a huge Safeco 5-drawer flat file. I purchased it brand new from Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00355 ... UTF8&psc=1

Looking for $500 cash, it's in excellent condition. It's just too big for my apartment and if I bang my knee on it one more time I'm going to rage out.

It's heavy and awkward and would have to be picked up and carried down some stairs.

Flat File - Custom Amish Cherry - $500 (Lake Zurich) NW of Chicago

This awesome custom Amish made cherry flat file is perfect for Architects, Artists, Builders, and Designers. It can easily accommodate the largest blueprints. Measures 49"1/2W x 36"D x 42"1/2T with top removed, 51"1/2 x 38" x 43"1/2 with top on. My cost as a builder was $2,600.00
Wow, that's basically ideal ... gorgeous looking, fits everything, for that price it's a steal. Surprised he's willing to take such a loss. I'd keep it on principle.

It could be a couple inches wider, but if you have another storage option for the biggest stuff in your collection, that thing is incredible.

More expensive than I'd like but if they are rare in LA, it's better than paying retail.

Expensive but intriguing...

Advice, trying to hook this up for 150, good price, or should I wait it out for something better?

"Handsome finished wood 2 drawer flat file for 30"x 42" sheets, no hardboard - solid wood construction throughout, metal-on-metal glides, 34" x 48" x 9 ¼" overall, excellent condition"

^^^ That looks to be a good size to slide under a bed. If you dont have a ton to store, then it should be fine, but the most I would buy it for would be $100.

They want 190 so I doubt they'll come down that low. :( But yea, for now I don't need a larger unit. Thanks.

Only concern would be if you have to pull it out from under the bed. Doesn't look to have feet so you might have to add or use those saucer things. That will add a bit of height to it if you plan on putting it under a bed. Otherwise that wood finish looks really, really nice.
