Are there any Central/Upstate NY EBers? The architecture department at Syracuse University is replacing some flat files and university faculty can snag the old ones cheap [$200 for a metal 5-drawer with a top and base]. I bought one for myself last week, but they had two more for sale; I can try to snap them up if someone is interested and the files are still available.

New to EB and been following this thread. Thought others in Northern/Central California might want to check out http://bargainbarn.ucdavis.edu/ - they have two wood flat files up right now:

At 750 apiece I'm definitely not jumping on these, but its a good local source to watch for new stuff in addition to the regular Craigs and 'Bay.

If I hadn't just made a sizable (for me) print purchase this morning, I probably would have hopped on this - if for no other reason than to aid in reclaiming my drawing table. But I'll be happy with my new piece instead... and just keep trying to reduce the rest.

The coffered sides are amazing, wish I had $800 to offer because I'm not to far from Knoxville and I would certainly pay that for this file.
