I recently found out I had a art "paper" conservator hook-up but was stunned to hear the time and general costs associated with her work. Anyone have any experience using a conservator? please tell your story.

I know Poster Mountain is highly regarded here, I've been through that thread before. There are many public and private conservators though, vast differences in setups, processing, etc. I'm looking for a more diverse reference I guess.
