DOES IT MATTER??
Might as well use one that EB'rs know works right? A Google search shows they are available in the UK. I ordered the Derwent off amazon.com on April 5th. It also ships from the UK so ETA is sometime after May 2nd.

Yeah I ended up ordering that one too. It says the delivery date is sometime in may. I'm hoping it'll end up being a little sooner.

Mine came in the mail today. Early is nice but only when you receive the correct items - was shipped one blue and one grey.

I tried a different one (two actually) and it did nothing useful. But I never tried the Derwent blue so that might not have worked either.

does anyone know if this will remove scuffs(chub rub) from paper, and not an area with ink on it?

Got a LTROI with some weird "scuffs" along the bottom border. Took a good white eraser to it and the results were better than I thought:

This works great, too.
Highly disagree. I also used this a long time ago on the same print, and if anything it was worse. Use caution.
Yeah, this didn't work for me either. The eraser looks like it'd be a much better option.

Does it matter which kneadable eraser I use or should I def go for Derwent?

So I went ahead and used a Derwent kneadable eraser and even though the scuff has gone there is some sort of smudging when shined against the light. Any views on this?

Recently received a scuffed print, and I'm unable to find any sort of blue derwent eraser.

Could anyone explain the process for using a soft brush? Is it just small-light-pressure circles?

I'm still skeptical, you are just moving ink around on the paper and most times just leave a shiny spot where a matte scuff once existed.

That is the lesser of two evils imo...

Just don't do anything to the print. Trust me.

I've tried this technique on some prints and nothing happens so it's def not a cure all. Don't use the blue erasers on plain paper as it will most likely leave a blue mark. Also, the kneaded eraser should be formed into a fine point and that way you can test it out on a small spot first to see if it leaves a mark. The key is to tap not rub. I'd only try it on dark screen printed inks...never giclee! I've had a lot if success with it on McCarthy's and it leaves no shine afterwards. I'm sure it just depends on the screen ink that's used. Also I've seen these erasers from another brand in gray but I've never tried those.
