So I was watching the Republican debate last night and it occurred to me that, for the most part, it was not a debate. It seemed like more of a question and answer session with very little back and forth between the candidates. Some of the questions were pointed and it was pretty entertaining overall but the whole thing had a Saturday Night Live skit feeling to it. Who ever did the staging kind of added to that feeling. The lead in with the "Pledge to not run as an Independent and only a Republican" was obviously aimed at taking Trump down a notch.

My hope is that this country never elects a "career" politician again.
The people who stood out the most in a positive way to me, a doctor, a CEO, and a billionaire real estate/business tycoon.

Railing against career politicians is just a cheap applause line that some pollster worked up after a focus group. There have been great politicans who were career politicians and there have been terrible politicians who weren't career politicans.

I was cracking up when Hillary Clinton was changing her voice to a southern drawl to attract southern voters during one of her previous interviews.

Watching I got that uneasy feeling that the movie Idiocracy is slowly starting to become a reality.

Any guesses at the first Republican to drop out of the race?? Jindal is my pick. His stock has been dropping ever since his dreadful Republican response to the state of the union address years ago. He wouldn't have a chance even if the other 16 candidates were struck by lightning.

I don't know much about politics. But if Meagan Kelly is involved, I'm watching! She couldn't possibly be more attractive.
