Thanks RA!

I'm complete crap at trying to puzzle out who will win and who will lose. Still, made it fun to watch the Oscars.

Well done, abstractlyput! I enjoyed the race. This pool is the highlight of the awards season for me.

The real loser tonight was NPH. Not that he was terrible, but where was the engaging Tony Awards host?

I liked the Birdman robe-caught-in-door thing. They should have done more of that with the other best pictures. That prediction/case thing was a whole lot of setup for a pretty weak payoff.

Thanks RA for a great comp - and congrats to the winner. Made for a fun monday afternoon while i was trying to do some work.

14 out of 24 (58%) was below my expectations of 75% - so my streak of averageness continues.

Surprised that Boyhood didn't get some more love at the pointy end. I will also have to go back and rewatch Birdman now, because apart from the cinematography (and the one take concept), i am not 100% sure what all the fuss was about. :?

Wow, such a close one...I still can't believe I won.

And I know I'll never win an Oscar, so I'll give this my best shot...

First off, I will not thank my future self.
Instead, I would like to thank RottenAtom for graciously putting this together; if it weren't for him, this yearly fun-filled Rotten Oscars wouldn't exist, and the adrenaline certainly wouldn't be pumping like crazy during the Oscars viewing session!

Second, I'd like to thank binky79, woodrowgus, RottenAtom and anyone else I missed that generously donated wonderful prizes! Third, I'd like to congratulate cerebus, RottenAtom, trarex, CSmiley317, choke, paulcliff, beatlejuiceebeans, revmod, and brettlv506 for all tying for a close 2nd!

Finally, I'd like to thank God for my Mom and Dad, who courageously decided to have me, keep me, and take care of me, even though they couldn't afford to have or raise a baby at the young and impressionable age of 17. And yes, they certainly could've chosen another way out. Instead, they set aside their own goals and dreams to love and bring up a child, depite barely having enough to get by. Eternally grateful for their love and sacrifice, and for all the parents here on EB and out there in the world, who sacrifice so much for your kids, because you love them more than life itself.
You are true heroes in this world...especially in the eyes of your little boy or girl. Thank you for being present to love and raise the next generation of teachers, lawmakers, filmmakers, actors, philanthropists, ministers, counselors, doctors, firefighters, officers, scientists, engineers, inventors, musicians, artists, full-time parents, poster collectors and contenders...
of Rotten Oscars.

Much love and thanks,

Cheers abstractlyput! Well done :pint:

Our winner has chosen the Todd Slater poster signed by Richard Dreyfuss (which was so generously provided by binky79)

cerebus, trarex, CSmiley317, choke, paulcliff, beetlejuice, revmod, and brettlv5506 all tied me with a score of 20/24. cerebus was the only person to beat me on the tiebreaker and wins second pick of the prizes. Congratulations cerebus!

Here are the numbers assigned to everyone else that tied me:

1-trarex
2-CSmiley317
3-choke
4-paulcliff
5-beetlejuice
6-revmod
7-brettlv5506

I will do a random number generator in a couple hours, before I go to work. Later tonight when I get home, everybody that participated in Rotten Oscars will be assigned a number and drawings will be done for the remaining prizes.
