I offer you Harpur College's little brother, 5/1/1970.
the first of the "An Evening with the Grateful Dead" format shows featuring a set from the New Riders.
If you would like a detailed over analysis of this show, see Jerry Garcia's Missing Finger

Sounds pretty damn good, thanks.

And the Roper looks less rat on a non-phone. I'd be interested to see snaps o' the final product.

Yeah, that's a preeetty nasty sounding NFA. Feels like an extension of New Speedway wrapped in a dark Creedencesque jam.

Listening now...nothing like '68-70 for this head...the Kresge Plaza show @ MIT a few days later has always been a favorite. Great run!

Livenation running their $20 tix promotion right now - go go go! Got some SPAC tickets, lots of other venues available. That's about the most I'd pay for a D and C show.

Grateful Dead Members to Reunite With Branford Marsalis at Lockn' Fest 2018

Should be a killer Lockn'! I just saw the Branford Marsalis Quartet and there's no question those guys are at the top of the musical food chain. He nearly passed out due to the elevation here.
