same here, 'chrome...show was lonnnggg. NRPS opened and toward the end of the show it was announced on the PA that anyone that took the T should leave to catch the last train of the night at North Station. Fortunately we'd driven in from the northern burbs (Andover precisely) and got to stay till the very end. I was hooked. Went to the Providence show the following Sep (w/ Ned Lagin & Seastones) and the last night (Sun) at the Boston Music Hall in December where they previewed the Wall of Sound and encored with a Dew'ski. Next time I saw them was Golden Gate Park in Sep '75... Good times and great memories!

That AUD is drymounting stellar btw- really catches the room. I just got goosebumps from the Loser solo. Music is weird.

edit: Source becomes clipped esp in the 2nd set, but I can handle it. The epic Dew is epic- never been a fan of >Fire Onna Mtn though.
Overall "THE show" remains solid as. Warm, loose and slow-bouncy. Personally for '77 I prefer the slightly more workmanlike/driving/entering-the-Spring feeling of the nights before (including a couple of the Palladium gigs). Cornell may (get it?) have been the point where they shifted fully towards what they'd become through the mid 80s.

was at the New Haven show...stellar. personally, I prefer the '81 Cornell to '77 - but clearly biased b/c I was in the aud in '81. btw - the web site sux! been tryin' to order the box for better part of 2 hrs!

also a correction on earlier post vis-a-vis '73. Prov '73 included Martin Fiero and other horns. Seastones was '74 Prov. - my bad!

And this months dead show of the month podcast is 5/9/77, Buffalo. Amazing.

Yes, 1977 was truly a magical year for the boys.

And finally - nearly 3 and 1/2 hrs later... +1 on the Spring '77 box! Looks like they ported checkout to the Rhino site to deal with the crush...if that's even possible. 1st of the box sets I've picked up and likely the last after going thru all that b...s...

I'm confused about what was so hard about. I just breezed right through checkout. But maybe that's because I just tired now.
