yeah. i'd say it's a good venue... but nothing great. kinda cool location on the water and downtown CHI so the walk to/from is nice. it just comes off as a sorta generic/corporate venue as it is all temporary structures for the summer concerts. it sits on a flat piece of land so no real proper pitch angle of the audience area.

We are going with friends of ours and we're all bringing kids ages seven to nine. I'm hoping Northerly provides enough space for the kids to run around and have fun with some relatively decent sound. Walking to and from the hilton all weekend with the family should make for a really fun family weekend in the city.

I start chatting up the guy behind me about posters, GD50, etc. As I get to the table, I realize it's cash only and I have like $13 bucks in my pocket. I'm about to go find my wife at our seats and the guy behind me says, "If you walk away, I don't think you're getting a poster. How much money do you need?" He fronts me $40 bucks and he and I get the last two posters. I couldn't believe that act of kindness. I immediately reimbursed him once I found my better half. What a solid dude. I love this poster. The gold ink is killer!

Also, Limb by Limb was fantastic!

Now I am especially indebted to that dude. I would have surely been after this on the secondary, if I didn't snag it at the show.

That'd be freaking sweeet!!!! Been wishing they'd play 4 there ever since the first year. I hope it's true.

would be interesting that the holiday, usually a travel day, would be a show day.
