Wanna bet on the game Pewter?

Is this really "shitting all over him"?

... or this?

pewter14 wrote:I think cutting Tebow would be an *enormous* mistake. He has value as a player even if not a full time QB.

I think my posts, when you read them, clearly state the guy offers something most QBs don't and that's great. But, if he stays who he is today and doesn't improve, success is not sustainable. Do you disagree with this? Is this really "shitting all over him"?

I honestly have no reason to bet on the Pats, I'm already emotionally invested in the game. And honestly, I have no reason to bet against Tebow, damn I don't hate the guy ... I just presented evidence why I think he needs to improve at being a quarterback.

But most of all ... I certainly won't fall into your chest puffy "wanna bet?" posts. That's not going to make you go back and really read what I wrote now, is it?

their ability to pick up 65+ yards a game on the ground makes it a nightmare for defenses because they have no idea what's coming. it changes their defensive fronts, their personnel groupings, everything really.

i predict we will see a new metric in the future that more accurately captures a QBs true impac on a game. the days where a QB could ONLY stand in the pocket and deliver the ball to his receivers are over - the game is always evolving. obviously that will never disappear - Brady, Manning, Brees and Rodgers (to a lesser extent) aren't running all over the place - but there are an increasing number of guys using their legs to make plays and move the chains

Comparing Tebow's skills to Newton's and Vick's is quite a stretch. Yes, they can all run, but Newton and Vick are significantly more dangerous through the air. True, Tebow is only in his second year, but Newton is a rookie and threw for 4,000 yards. Tebow, by comparison, threw for 1758 (albeit in two fewer games). I also highly disagree with the idea that the days where a QB can ONLY stand in the pocket and deliver are over. Seriously? Who are the elite quarterbacks in the NFL? Brees, Brady, Manning, Manning again, Rivers, Rodgers, Schaub, Ryan, Romo... All pocket passers. For every Robert Griffin III entering the draft, there's going to be multiple Luck's and Barkley's. While Tebow's run has been fun to watch, unless he significantly improves his ability to throw the ball through the air on a CONSISTENT basis, he will not be a successful quarterback in this league over the long haul. I think by this time next year everyone will have a good idea as to whether or not Tebow will continue to be a starting quarterback in the NFL.

Proving the point that you're not actually reading, let alone trying to comprehend, what is being posted.

I drunkenly started the thread to shit on Tebow. Any level headed conversation that occurred afterwards was completely unintentional.

That's untrue! I had a whole conversation with a bunch of people last night about whether or not 'period sex' was gross. Denver's got range.
