anyone think Nash or Ryan actually get traded? where Semin and Doan end up? will Nashville match Weber's offer sheet? personally, i dont think Nash gets traded unless their GM lowers his ridiculous asking price. i think he's trying to make up for the fact that he hasnt been able to build a team in Columbus around Nash. either way, i highly doubt he gets his asking price for Nash. especially since Nash is only a 60pt player with a 7.8 cap hitfor the next few years. yeah he may do better on a different team, but up to this point in his career, he is a 60pt player with a 7.8 cap hit. i think the trade for Bobby Ryan depends on the Nash deal. I hope the Devils go after Ryan, we need some offense since Parise left
someone will take a chance on Semin. he's got great potential and has shown in past seasons that he can be a great offensive player, but his reputation and lack of production is hurting him big time. im not sold on Doan. i havent watched all that much of him, but from what i have seen, im not impressed. ive seen him make quite a few dirty plays. but according to yahoo, there were like 11 teams after him, so he must have something going for him. im not a fan of drawing things out like he's doing. if i were an UFA, i would want to sign somewhere within the first 2 weeks of free agency so i could start playing with the new teammates as soon as possible. but i also understand that it's a life altering decision and shouldnt be made without the right preparation.
i hope Nashville keeps Weber, it would be a shame to see that a team that was on the rise get dismantled in the offseason. id also feel very badly for Rinne. he's a top tier goalie that would almost be hung out to dry if Weber leaves. losing Suter was big, but losing Weber as well would just be detrimental. plus losing two of their best players in the same month would seriously hurt the fan base. hopefully he stays and the predators remain a playoff team.
