IF Marty would have signed with the hawks it would be a Pittsburg / Chicago Final.
and you would have been able to compete BUT he went back to Jersey for who knows what reason.

The Lesson to be learned here:

IF IF's and BUT's were candies and nuts we'd ALL have a Merry Christmas.

$250 for the pair shipped and insured. Both are mint. Shipping should be around 7 or 8 bucks.

FYI: this was the collection that didn't make my walls, still beats your shitty little collections...and if it doesn't, I still couldn't care less.

He always wanted to stay there. He was gonna leave for a 2 yr deal. After the hawks offered 2 yrs they stepped up.

maybe because he's spent his entire career here, set almost every goaltending record, won 3 cups, won 4 vezinas, won 5 jennings and made it to 5 finals including this year, with Jersey

i mean i guess thats not enough reasons to stay with them

Yeah...seems obvious to me. He's getting older too, so perhaps retirement with his lifelong team is what he prefers.

With Cory Schneider already signed, I wonder if Vancouver has the option to keep both goalies or if they tell the world they are forced to get rid of Lu now.. which might affect what they can get offered in return?

how much did vc give him? i imagine they didnt wanna move luongo until he was signed so they dont end up with no goalie.

It's another way to look at it. Very plausible. If they can't keep both though and Florida and Toronto and any team potentially interested knows it, that can't help what you'll be offered in return..

It's a 3 year deal worth 12 mils for Schneids.

It's all in the head, because the skills have been more than #1 goalie proofed. They are all-star proofed. He'll be at the all-star game, next year.

Hope the Leafs don't sign Lu. Secretly hoped they signed Marty.

And why would he stay?? Obviously is you lose Parise its a team with new ownership, not a big market, small budget and YOU are Old and have LESS time to WIN again. I hope you don't believe this year wasn't a total fluke. If Philly could have scored ANY goals ANY you wouldnt have been in the Final.

Easy $$$$ for me Don Cherry and I had them from before the playoffs. I can show you the betting slip.

philly scored 31 goals against pitt and only 11 against the devils. dont kid yourself. they dismantled pitt but were dominated by the devils.

and dont think you were close to the finals, you only won 5 playoff games...

The luongo to the hawks rumors wont go away. Lu certainly fueled the fire when he said he'd play here. I gotta give the guy props for his sense of humor. I've read a little of his twitter and his chelsea dagger comment was funny. 'that song is catchy. I heard it 7 times in one game'.

I dunno...i dont see him ending up here. The fans would have him on a very short leash...he cant want that kind of scrutiny.

He's been the more scrutinized/criticized player in the entire NHL for the past couple of years.
At this point, it's not like scrutiny and/or the idea of going to Chicago makes Lu anxious or gives him hard time to sleep.
Any move to any city is a gain for him on that regard.
I hope he doesn't go to Chicago. I don't want to see the Hawks become the #1 contending team in the West again. It would be the perfect fit for your team imo.
I heard no rumor to Chicago, but I wouldn't be surprised if a goalie of his caliber is one of the top addition the Hawks woud like to get for next season. And there aren't many, if any, other goalie of his caliber available on the market right now, hence the fit I'm talking about.
