Great game last night. I didn't stay up to watch all of it but from the highlights, it looked pretty intense. I can't believe Chicago couldn't win either of those games at home. Tonight the Yankees take down the A's! :pint:

the cubs offense has been feast or famine the whole 2nd half...and mostly famine. even had milwaukee not got red hot and caught them, they wouldn't have gone far even if they won the division.

thought that Javy hugging Arenado was going to lead to an interference call, pretty bush league on his part to just wrap him up like that. glad for Rockies, want them to do well.

Gore never should've swung the bat when the count was 3-2. What was he thinking? :hanging:

No big surprise there.

Dude acquired a 26 year old MVP with 5 years/$58 mil left on his deal and Lo Cain on the same day - 13.3 worth of total WAR in 2018.

Thanks Jeets!

Then tossed on Chacin for 2 years/$15 million (15-8, 3.50 ERA, 2.2 WAR) and Wade Miley for 1 year/$2 million (2.57 ERA in 15 starts/80 innings). Not special guys but some damn good value, and the two guys starting games one and two of the NLDS.

I was pretty bummed the first time the Brewers traded him, although getting Greinke helped with that.
