Yeah, but don't you have to worry that if you land a transcendent player they leave because the franchise blows?

So I know it goes witout saying among other hoop heads but Kawhi is amazing. I like his game just as much as his personality on the court. That "just here to get the job done" mentality. crazy hand gestures or routines, "Yeah I just hit a 3 to go along with the last 10 or so points in the closing minutes of this game, and I'll just go ahead and run done this opposing player the full length of the court to annihilate there layup on the glass." All while looking completely unphased.

Love Kawhi, but it's just not a discussion anymore when Russell Westbrook is hellfire this season.

Russ is the MVP. Without him OKC is firmly in the lottery. Plus he is fun to watch. Dude is fearless.

yeah but no team below the 3 seed has ever had an MVP. no doubt they'd be a fudge team without him

He's my MVP. But I cant help thinking if a 3 is what's being drawn up, why not Abrines or McBuckets? The D will naturally be drawn to Russ, and I fell both of those two have a better shot of making the 3.

Lots of players playing at an elite level this year, but if Westbrook averages a Trip Doub and doesn't win MVP... crazy.

Sample size is pretty small right now, but so far I don't see New Orleans looking like a bigly better team with Cousins.

Big O came in third in the MVP vote when he averaged a triple double. Wouldn't surprise me if that happened again because other candidates have more wins than Russ.
