They could have traded the pick to someone who did want him though ... but still ... Lynch got the best of them.

Hoping the Jets take a QB and not one of the great defensive guys left.

Eh, the Jets will do fine picking defense. Offense on the other hand...

And yeah, SF did a helluva job fleecing the Bears. Good god what was Chicago thinking...

I'm pretty low on Trubisky though, so maybe I'm biased.

very happy with the Jets pick.

I don't see the Pats trading Jimmy G if they think he is legit given how it is so incredibly difficult to get a starting quality QB

Zero NFL reporters have been able to confirm that any other teams were looking at the 2. The Jets have denied it, as have others. SF somehow got Chicago to bid against themselves for something nobody really wanted.

Yup. Only way Chicago saves its rep is if details on who else was legit after the 2 come up. Some reporters are saying it's definitely real, though I'm not surprised teams don't want to share whether or not it was them. If SF bluffed their way into it though, well done by Lynch...I actually like how he drafted too, so far.

So the Celtics/Bulls playoff game is going on in Chicago, they show a pic of Trubisky on the jumbotron and it's met with a chorus of boos. Boos turn to cheers once they actually show Trubisky in the stands at the game. Oof.

As a Bears fan I say fire everyone. Highest draft pick since the 70's and that's what you do with it? They acted like crackheads going after the next coming of Montana but ended with the next Cade McNown
