I think that part of any professional sports franchise relocation should be a rebranding. Leave the name at the door. Leave the Chargers name to S.D. should they get another team. Some of the time when they keep the name it makes no sense, like the Utah Jazz or New Orleans Hornets.

Why couldn't they just use the existing one?

what a meteoric rise for Anthony Lynn. Just 17 weeks ago he was a lowly running backs coach for the Buffalo Bills, and now look at him!

Glad I'll be able to see my Chiefs within 30 minutes from home once a year.

Honestly thought, besides AFC West grudges aside sorry to those in the San Diego are who lost their team locally. That's a huge bummer. I moved from KC to LA when I was 1 so I never knew what it was like.

But that organization is a ch!t stain, no one in smelLA wants them, now no one here wants them. Spanos never wanted to stay in the city all he ever gave a fcuk about was money, I hope they fail miserably. Eat a fat dick Spanos and the new LA Fcukboys
My wife and son are really upset. She was born and raised 20 minutes SE of the city. I hate being bitter, but I concur. San Diego offered him a lease a Qualcomm for $1 a year. And, the last attempt to get a stadium was a joke. It's funny how he'll blame not getting a stadium but fork over $650 million to relocate. I mean, that seems like a good down payment for a stadium.

650 million (relocation is lookin more like 850 mil from some sources) it's basically 2/3s cost for a state of the art brand new stadium and with the money they would get from the NFL would have only needed about 150 mill funded by taxes or some other 3rd party... dude is a ch!t stain and all the owners hate his guts

Andrew Brandt lays out the move in clinical terms.
A massive stadium in LA trumps all.

ps "It's Brandt"

I think it's obvious he really didn't give a rip about San Diego and wanted in on the LA market no matter what. You guys never had a chance at keeping them.
