^ oof, indeed.

Escalate it today. Why wait for tomorrow? It would suck if you will have to pay for the return shipping on the turd. For that price, you should have asked around here first, perhaps. No guarantee that it would come in a better shape, but the chances are in your favour, imo.

Could have been a con attendee who isn't a collector. I remember the first time I made the mistake of getting an sdcc print from ebay. :hanging:

The guy also had the SWC Edward Scissorhands and Ferguson Star Trek Arena prints for sale, but yeah, I thought that for a second too.

Mystery tube is a pretty safe bet I would say. That's a shame. At least ebay should have your back.

Taking bubbie's advice and starting the claim now. Just making sure to include as much info/many pics as possible so I'll (hopefully) be in the clear.

Anyone ever run into a non-paying buyer who says that eBay keeps sending the incorrect invoice? I assume this is just a scam to keep from not paying, but wanted to throw it out here and see if anyone else had a similar experience.
NEVER PAY VIA PAYPAL GIFT. NEVER PAY FRIENDS/FAMILY. PAY THE FEES YOURSELF, THE 3% IS WORTH IT TO NOT BE SCAMMED

I'm sure this has been answered, but what's the best method for shipping a high value print and retain full insurance?

Ebay limits at $1,000.

Thanks.

Domestic.

I see USPS will provide and FedEX does as well. Anything extra I should do for a high value item? Pictures before mailing?

What about packaging? Planning on putting tube in a box.

if you box it, dont leave too much dead space. elongated boxes tend to get crushed, if they allow it. dead space/no support will allow for it.

Has anyone had experience shipping to Belgium? I have a buyer that wants to buy a print off eBay, but doesn't want to pay for the Global Shipping rate ($150+) or pay the import taxes. It would be insured for $1,000.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

eBay doesn't give a drymount about pictures. Don't ever bother wasting your time with that.

Can you use the eBay insurance and then buy supplemental coverage through a 3rd party?
