The Hogwarts castle set? nice, great entry point to a world of bricks!Creation88 wrote:my wife's first Lego set.
I just can't believe I had no clue about this one...already spent $$$ on all the sets they just released, and about to drop more on a box of minifigures (searching target daily lol), but this is a must have for our family

Right there with you. HP is our favorite. Hadn't bought much more than the holiday sets for a while, but with the HP sets and minifigs, Hogwarts Castle, and Voltron, I'll be running out of storage space.starkdesign wrote:The Hogwarts castle set? nice, great entry point to a world of bricks!Creation88 wrote:my wife's first Lego set.

That is kind of a bummer.schmoff wrote:i'm upset it is not to scale and uses those micro figs

I've wondered for while why they hadn't done a full Hogwarts set and just assumed it was because it would be excessively large (and $$$$$), so I'm kinda glad it's a bit scaled down. The dimensions on the site say it's 22" tall, 27" wide and 16" deep. So it's still a pretty good size.schmoff wrote:i'm upset it is not to scale and uses those micro figs

The Disney Castle measures over 29” (74cm) high, 18.8” (48cm) wide and 12” (31cm) deep.
I have the disney castle perched atop my arcade cabinet now, but this new Hogwarts will for sure take its place...just gotta find a new spot for the disney castle now lol

Saw the HP minifigures are on lego.com in prep for release in August, so I tried calling and ordering a box, but no luck.
I did find out that the big Hogwarts Castle set will be early access for VIP people though!
back to checking target daily for the minifigs now...
