Got 2 Hopslam 6 packs. They're okay. I'd still prefer a Kern River Brewing Just Outstanding IPA. Speaking of which, they're in 6 pack cans now

Hopefully can drop by the Other Half drop this weekend, trying to work around screenings of Goodfellas and Casino that day.

If anyone gets to northern Indiana or is in Chicago for a show, 3 Floyds Brewery is just over the IL/IN boarder and this stuff is amazing, if you can find it.

It's much easier to find this year. I've managed a handful, and it hasn't even really dropped around me yet. But I have the luxury of a loose employment situation. Tomorrow is the big day for the west and southwest metro.
halftonegraphics wrote:it always needs to sit. 6-8 months is prime, in my opinion. a year is still amazing. 2 years isnt too far off either. still have a couple 15s and 16s sitting.
I had my first ever SMS a couple of days ago. Definitely needs to sit a while. Really hot. I wasn't overly impressed. Good, but not great. I know it'll get better, though. Now I just need to set a reminder on my phone or something to remind myself to drink it.
natepachl wrote:Hit a tiny hole-in-the-wall liquor store on my way home from work...picked up two 4pks of SMS, 2 6pks of High Westi, and 6 BA Darkness....''twas not a bad find!
Where the hell was this? I managed 1 6 pack of Westi this week. I could have got another couple of bottles, but I have a bunch from the first release still. And I haven't seen SMS in MN.

Also, I might have kind of badmouthed the most recent batch of High Westified in here (the one in 12 ounce bottles). I mentioned a few places that it needed to be room temp to even be close to as good as the last batch (in bombers). I take it all back. If you're sitting on any, crack one right now. It's drymounting amazing at any temp. It needed a couple of months, but now it's giving the last batch a real run.

I'm looking forward to it! That Chasing Rainbows sounds ridiculous.

Need to try Southern Grist.

The double homestyle is going to be ridiculous. I kind of forgot that I have a wedding tomorrow, so wont be going but should have someone getting me cans. Should be a good time.

Saw some Grimm fudge out here, which I thought was odd. They appeared to be sour-ish so I passed.

I have tried quite a few sours. I just can't get on board.

Oddly it was the one style that I was onboard with on first taste. Grimm's sours are major league.
