EB - Chicago contingent

Talk about anything here. Post lifespan is 1 year.

Hello fellow EB'ers...

Not sure if one of these threads exists already or not---but thought I'd start one up. This was sparked by the "looking for a good framer in Chicago" thread by gholman.

How many fellow EB'ers do we have in the greater Chicago area? I know that you can see where people are from based on their profiles, but occasionally things will come up where I'm looking for some guidance or help on print/framing/storage related items and it'd be great to have everybody that's in close proximity listed in one thread. This could prove useful in regards to trades, etc as well. Direct hand-offs versus shipping nightmares 8) . Who knows, we could even share a :pint: or :pint: :pint: while completing trades.

(Or extra concert tickets/event tickets, etc...)

Thanks in advance to my fellow EB'ers for taking the time to read this.

Why on earth would you live by Wrigley if you can't stand drunk people? Do you live with your mommy and daddy or something?

People who live in wrigleyville don't live with their mommy and daddy, they use mommy and daddy's money, come on. Not directed to you maden, just those who you hate.

Yes, if anyone would like to meet for a trade or buy directly from me, I am down, have to meet me at an oasis though :) , as I live very far west.

I am in the FAR NW burbs, and I work in downtown.

I lived in Wrigley years ago, and it was awesome, drunks and all. Granted very often I was one of the drunks, so I can't say much! :pint: I can totally see hating them if you have a family or are past the harder party years of your life.

Someone is quite agitated this early in the morning. It is called a joke. Living with mommy and daddy might be nice though. Paying rent sucks.

I am not in Wrigleyville (dear god that would be horrible) but more on the boarder of Lakeview and Uptown.

Live in the burbs, work in the loop.

I was recently at the Alex Pardee sketch 4 sketch tour at rotofugi. After seeing pictures here on EB, I realized that smellmysocks was 2 people ahead of me.

This thread is a good way for us Midwsterners to band together. Especially with Flatstock around the corner.

I live in Logan Square. I work downtown and in an office in the western burbs. It changes day to day and part of why I hate my job.

10 years ago I was there - grew up in town and am back at least a couple of times a year. Y'all are missing out if you live in town and don't go to Flatstock @ Pitchfork this summer, I can tell you that.
