I am in line now.

I'm in line with my 2 and 4 year olds. Also my 9 months pregnant wife. Hoping to get 5 prints if she goes into labor soon enough.

Kids sleeping on the sidewalk in sub 40 degree weather? Hope your couple hundred dollars was really worth treating your kids like whores.

Was I not "all business"? You had me bidding via PM against who knows who else, and when I won you told me the print was mine as soon as I paid. I paid within a few minutes, despite the fact that I was out to dinner with my wife and friends. I didn't want to leave you hanging. Does this make me "cheap and neurotic"? Did I not "shine through in the end"? I understand people make mistakes. I think all of us would choose a "childhood friend" over a random EB member, I just think it is unfortunate that you two had a lack of communication, and that in the end it cost me. Again, I understand that people make mistakes.

The point of me posting your PM (which I understand you didn't care for) was to hope that maybe a kind soul out there would help me out. I have nothing against you personally, but I am bitter about the situation. I hope for the best for you and the rest of your transactions, as I am hopeful that things will work out for me as well.

Nope, wasn't talking about you - you are legitimate in your griefs. I'm talking about other people that feel the need to make an example of me, ones not involved in my transactions.

Can I nominate a post from the comments at OMGPosters?

If it is a Mondo print and Akira it will sell at 500 at least. This will bring more exposure to the artist…a lot more than 90 will ever do. So, why 90 admin? What is the reasoning? Are mitch, justin, and rob creating a demand so they can flip the prints they receive for free and really make money. Think about it. They have control of all aspects of releases, as stated in their interviews, and they know what sells or they would not be in the business. So they create the demand on the secondary market to sell their personal prints for the market price.

And the reply from Mitch

Wow Shawn, in all of my years of hanging around poster sites, that has to be one of the dumbest rants I’ve ever seen. Take one second to think things through before you post them on the internet.
We each get one copy of a poster, do you really think we’d make more money on that one copy than making the edition larger? Seriously. That makes zero sense.
Editions on a couple of the posters were kept very low on purpose to be special items for the folks that came to the gallery opening, waited in line for hours, and showed up to support the new space.
I apologize if you feel entitled to have a copy of every poster ever released, but please think your arguments through, this one could not have sounded crazier.

maybe i am just rushing through reading this but...ok, so animalrummy.com's quote:
The designer of the shirt is Dan Stiles (he also did one of my favorite posters for a 2008 Yeasayer show at The Gorge). You can pick it up at Dan Stile's store. If you buy one, tell Dan that Rob sent you and you'll get 0% discount. Any ornithologists who buy the single, please know that I recognize I should have said "crest" instead of "comb" in the emails on the insert, but I thought it important to leave it as originally hastily written, half-remembered avian nomenclature and all.

0% discount :P

Sadly around here you kind of do - from new members joining and selling within minutes without uploading collections or contributing to the community - to the hookup thread where people will list prints that are nowhere close to hook ups - so thanks Gonzo for someone looking out for the f ucking post of the day thread.

Is nothing Sacred???? :hanging:

$250 for the pair shipped and insured. Both are mint. Shipping should be around 7 or 8 bucks.

FYI: this was the collection that didn't make my walls, still beats your shitty little collections...and if it doesn't, I still couldn't care less.

No need to get mad, we can just change the title to include "within 4 years".

What I find sad/pathetic is that you must be doing searches on either every post, or random posts to verify they are of "the day". Simple fact is I was reading the thread, mad me laugh so I quoted and commented on it. Don't care when it was originally said. Thanks for being the killjoy in a thread that is supposed to make people laugh a bit.
