We have missed you James!JamesBStudios wrote:Hello all-
Thank you for the thoughts, as thoughts are rare today.
First, yes I am producing art. It will exist, just as my past art has. It is real to be judged and hated. I always produce what is on my mind, so if that is a crime, then blame the higher powers. The ones who let me exist to do it. The ones who let me come into reality.
I have been at this for six years now, making art for the world, smudging pigments on substrates, being critiqued by the world. I have received several death threats, been called mentally unstable (even thought I was most likely drunk), my designs have been ripped off by artist whore business men and their sons, and many other things. And you know what, it was and is all worth it.
This is what you do to your artists? You know the real artists who try to do something real. The artists who make wares in their basements or the alleys with their own hands. Not the ones who smear paint on their designer jeans and show up at a planned photo OP.
I just met with an assistant who will be helping me. Someone who understands what I am trying to do, so James B Studios has it's first real employee.
To those who believed in me before, I thank you. I know many of you will not read this, but thank you. You believed before the institutions and the hype, before I was Larry Gagosian's love child. The instiutions are calling so invest now whores. I don't give a crap if this ruins my reputation, because I have none left. I am the wild, drunken, bastard child of the art world whether you like it or not. And that is fine with me. Just remember that James B is real and there are no limits.

Yous haven't watched a PTI/DLHQ type sports show in the last few weeks huh? It's the dude's (European soccer coach) nervous tick. They blasted it all over ESPN, guy got real embarrassed, and went right back to doing it. There's worse ones too.
