Thanks! All rec's welcomed, for sure. I read about the 'snapping' technique - kinda' difficult to do (for my fingers).
However, the second suggestion gave temp relief; more than music masking. Copy/paste from link for anyone interested in trying.
"This is one variation of a Taoist exercise called "Beating the Heavenly Drum". The other variation (the first one I ever heard of) is when you push the Tragus (ear flap thing) over your Cavum (ear hole thing) with your index fingers, then with your middle finger tap the fingernail of your index finger. You cover both ears at the same time, but alternate between tapping left/right/left/right, sort of like a Newton's Cradle"

That's my kind of Christmas tree! I have actually been abstaining for the majority of this year and for the foreseeable future. It's a little different than the last 22 years that's for sure

I had a hearing test recently and boy was I surprised. Apparently my ear drums are made of stainless steel. The hours I've spent with a headphone pressed to my ear at full volume with meters in the red and also standing at length in front of insane speaker stacks didn't phase me. Couldn't believe everything was normal

I gotta' say... I did find a audio that helps me - one of the tinnitus masking vids. Took me awhile to find the right one. lol... I even tried combo vids and played simultaneously.
When I'm home, I play the audio all day in the background and it helps - my brain 'listens' to the audio instead of the ringing in my ears.
Volume of the vid/audio should be just a bit less than the ear ringing volume. My tinnitus changes in volume, so I have to adjust for that.
Gosh... you're so lucky. My tinnitus is getting worse as I age. Terrible.ygolohcysp wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 10:08 pm
